A year ago we decided to automate our processes, becoming leaders in robotics, in Chile and worldwide. Today we make a great contribution to the environment, in line with the demands of the new times and with our spirit of work.
After a great effort, we have installed a solar plant with 1,060 panels, capable of delivering 581,412 kWh per year, on the roofs of our Lampa factory. To get an idea of its impact on the environment, our project will save the emission of 232.5 tons of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to planting 15,844 trees. The energy that we will produce will supply between 70 to 75% of the demand of our factory, which will allow us to carry out a large part of our manufacturing processes with clean energy.
It will be one of the largest private solar plants in the Metropolitan Region (RM), with which we will be able to provide energy to the interconnected system.
We estimate that in a year we will be able to contribute to the country, injecting between 25,000 and 30,000 KWh into the system, thanks to the surpluses that we will have.
This is a big step, which fills us with pride, because being able to manufacture our modular spaces with renewable and clean energy is something completely avant-garde in Chile and in Latin America.
