Camp built for over 5,500 people, during the construction of Escondida Mining Company’s Phase IV Expansion Project, located in the Atacama Desert, 170 km south-east of Antofagasta, at 3,100 meters above sea level. Building the modules in our factory in Santiago was essential for this project, as to transport 80% of the required construction already finished and minimize the work on site. Our personnel and our plant responded beating a record, building more than 900 modules in 6 months, 6.82 modules per day on average (each module is 3.05 x 14 m). Besides, the sewer network, the water and firefighting networks, the electricity grid, Cable TV network, telephone lines, sewage water treatment and drinking water plants (reverse osmosis) supplying the area were also built.
