The Tumbes Peninsula School, during the tsunami was crushed by two ships that entered the land, causing its total destruction.
The new modular school, donated by Anglo American and built by Tecno Fast ATCO, houses 218 students between pre-kindergarten and 8th. The schools have the complete furniture of the rooms, computers, Internet connection, school supplies, books for the library, conditioning of the teachers’ room, accesses and bathrooms for the disabled, as well as thermal and acoustic insulation, all with the purpose that children in the area can return to their classes in the best possible way and feel that their lives can return to some degree to normal.
