Juan Fernandez island was one of the areas most affected by the tsunami after 27/F. Dozens of constructions were swept away by the sea, including the school that hosted 130 students. This difficult situation has been overcome thanks to the assistance of different organizations and companies, task in which Tecno Fast Atco has actively participated.
The new establishment will allow 170 children and teens to resume their activities.
The total of students the school will receive will be nearly 200, of which 140 are elementary and high school students, and about 30 are kindergarten and nursery school students.
The task was hard, since we had to travel over 25 hours to reach the island and disembark the modules, and the task extended during day and night, with the coordinated efforts of the Army and the island’s inhabitants.
