The town of Quirihue is a small location northeast of Chillan. The town possessed valuable colonial architecture, with classic, elegant long houses and unique roofing. After the earthquake that destroyed nearly all the South of Chile, much of its heritage was lost forever, completely changing the town’s architecture, including the disappearance of the town’s beautiful church and schools.
The Levantemos Chile organization, sponsored and funded by the private sector and with the support of our company, built the schools “Quirihue I and II”, to give to the children part of their daily lives back.
Quirihue I has a 350-student capacity, which are distributed in 10 classrooms for 35 students, while Quirihue II is smaller, with a 180-student capacity distributed in 4 classrooms for 45 students each. Covering a surface of 572 m2 and 305 m2 respectively.
